A really lovely project with the really lovely family at Blacksea Woods LTD. A new venture began for this family, after purchasing a piece of stunning woodland and rough grazings in the outskirts of Dumfries, Scotland, with views to the sea.
They had a vision for their business; to produce wood for log burners, distil a new gin... among other ideas too! This was a project I could really align with! Tasked with a family business visions, and such a beautiful landscape, I wanted to create something with authentic, stylish but functional.
The final concept for the logo identity, a hand drawn, simplified visual representation of the scenery and landscape that the woods sits within. The hills either side undulate to create a back drop for the woodland appearing at the heart of it all.
Paired with an authentic font, the final piece captures the nature of the business, whilst not pigeon holing the business to any specific industry.
